Removing default blogroll, archive, and categories

  My wordpress.com blog is: http://ndag.wordpress.com (redirected to http://nickdag.com).

  I’m trying to remove the default blogroll, archive, and categories at the bottom. I saw some other posts on this, but adding and removing the respective widgets did nothing to help the situation.

  Any ideas?

  Try adding a text widget.
  Or if you are having trouble with the drag and drop method of adding widgets, go to the upper right of your screen and select “screen options” —> “enable accessibility mode.”

  Blank text widget did the trick!

  Accessibility — good to know. I experimented with it but was not necessary for the fix.
