Removing Domain from WordPress.com

    Hello.

I wanted to use WordPress, and since I’m new to this, I went to wordpress.com rather than to wordpress.org.

I’ve bought a Domain in GoDaddy, and wanted to add use it to redirect through it to my website.

Now, after realizing that I’ve made a mistake, I want to remove it.

I removed the domain from the options and mapping I’ve purchased (got a refund), and when I try to redirect the domain through GoDaddy’s settings and browse to domain, I see in the tab the WordPress.com logo, so I assume that it’s redirecting to my old, unwanted WordPress.com website.

How can I delete it entirely from WordPress.com? I read online that I can’t delete the account, so how can I disconnect the website entirely from my domain?

All I want is for it to redirect to my localhost server…

Thank you very much. I’m pretty frustrated.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi!

I suspect this might be a caching issue. Your domain shouldn’t be redirecting to WordPress.com any longer. The mapping upgrade has been removed, and the name servers are pointed to GoDaddy. When I load the domain, I receive an error message, presumably as the site isn’t setup at GoDaddy just yet. Can you try clearing your browser’s cache?
