Removing domain upgrade

  I had purchased a domain with GoDaddy and purchased the domain upgrade with WordPress. After removing the upgrade, everytime i try to go to it it says ‘Warning! Domain mapping upgrade for this domain not found. Please log in and go to the Domains Upgrades page of your blog to use this domain’.

  This seems to indicate that somehow a mapping still exists in wordpress. How can i remove it? This is fairly frustrating considering it is not a domain I had purchased with WordPress and yet it is till parked there

  Hello –

  It appears that you are still using the WordPress.com nameservers on your DNS panel at GoDaddy.

  When those are set that way, it’s going to forward the traffic over to WordPress.com, but since you had removed the mapping upgrade on this end, you’re getting that error message.

  Once you change the nameservers to something else and give it 48-72 hours to propagate, you won’t see that message any longer.
