Removing "dotcom" from blog URL
-
I need to remove the “dotcom” from my blog name and was directed to contact support to change the domain mapping. Is there a way to do this on my own, or does somebody need to do it for me? Thanks!
Blog url: http://wasupbuddydotcom.wordpress.com/The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Go to Dahboard, select My Blogs tab, choose your blog on the list, under the address column, an option change web address appears, go through it. Change your blog address(of course remove dotcom part), and save changes as the sites says.
Resolve my problem also after that.

If you just want to change the name that is at the top of your blog – try:
Dashboard >> Settings >> General >> change Title and Tag line

Sorry, I meant the blog address. It is registered as ‘wasupbuddy’ but for some reason when I log into my admin panel it takes me to the admin panel for ‘wasupbuddydotcom’–which is a nonexistent blog–and when I try to change the blog address it says the name is already taken (which is it… by me).
I found another post from last year where it looks like someone from WordPress had to manually change the address:

http://wasupbuddydotcom.wordpress.com/ is the only blog registered under your account.
wasupbuddy.wordpress.com was registered and mapped to http://wasupbuddy.com/ by someone else back in June of this year.

Yes, It is registered to me in June but now for some reason I can only access the “dotcom” version…?

supbuddy is not a user on http://wasupbuddy.com/
You’ll need to log in as the correct user, wasupbuddy.
