Removing e-mail subscribers from blog

  I need to remove some e-mail subscribers from my blog and the way I had previously removed people no longer works.

  In the past I used the path: Dashboard>site stats>totals, subscriptions & shares>active subscribers>email subscribers>

  “remove subscriber” used to be an option, but is no longer there. Is there a new process to remove subscribers now?

  At this time, only we can remove subscribers.

  I can remove this subscriber for you, but please understand that there’s no guarantee the individual won’t re-subscribe as long as your blog is not private.

  If you would like me to proceed, please let me know the first four characters of the individual’s email address.

  Thank you for the reply.

  This is a group blog and each semester we need to remove the people who are no longer a part of the group.

  Most of the blog is password protected (and we change the password), so if people do subscribe again they will only be able to see the open content.

  Since we have a number of people to remove do you want me to just list the first four characters of each address here as a reply?

  Sure, go ahead and make a list here.

  From now on, I recommend discouraging subscriptions, or opening a new blog for each semester, as I can’t guarantee that we’ll always be able to do this.

  Just wanted to check in and tell you that we are discussing our options based on what you told us. I’ll post a follow up in the next few days with either a list of people to remove or letting you know that we have decided to go a different route. Thank you for your patience and help.

  Sorry for the hassle but I’m going to create a private thread for this so that we can make sure we get those email addresses correct. Wouldn’t want to remove the wrong person. Thanks!
