removing email requirement from registration?

    Hi,

I created a blog to use as the intranet site for the company I work for, but it’s a call centre, and only supervisors have email addresses, so I’d like to remove the requirements for people to enter an email address when they register. Is such a thing possible? The website isn’t accessible from outside our network, so I’m not too worried about security.

Ideally I’d like to have a plugin or something that we can simply reset the user’s password from the admin panel without having to send them an email.

    Thanks!

If your WordPress install is on a company server then you need to see the WordPress.ORG keeper of the software for help: http://wordpress.org/support/ and what you want to do has a very simple work around.

If the site is here on WordPress.COM then can’t be done.
