Removing Followers
-
Hi, this is my first year using a classroom blog in which parents in my classroom ‘follow’ it to get updates on classroom news etc. As the school year is ending and will therefore have new students in September how do I make sure that my current followers do not continue to get my blog updates as they would be of no interest to them??

The parents can remove themselves via a link at the bottom of their subscription emails, or their Reader settings at WordPress.com if they have a WordPress.com account.
Since you can have as many free WordPress.com blogs as you’d like, I generally recommend opening a new blog for each year. That way, you don’t have to worry about subscribers, past students still have access to the previous resources, and future students aren’t confused when confronted with items for the previous class.
You can register a new blog under your account by visiting https://en.wordpress.com/signup/ while logged in.
