How can I use the random header slideshow in Modularity?
-
Hello there,
I’ve been successfully uploading various version of customised header images. However, each time, I upload a new version, it’s helpfully stored. The only the only problem is, I can’t seem to find a way to remove a header image that I no longer want on the site. How can I remove this? The reason is, I’d like to use the RANDOM option to show a different image on each page but I don’t necessarily want to show one of the images that isn’t right. Hope that makes sense.
Whilst writing. Is there any way to use the same principle on the front page only. E.g. is there any way that I can get WP to automatically change the image on the front page of the blog at random?
Thanks very much

The Modularity theme can automatically show a slideshow in the header – read more about this in the theme showacse.
However, this slideshow doesn’t pull images from Appearance → Header. Instead, it uses featured images from your recent posts:
The standout feature of Modularity Lite is it’s beautiful home page slideshow powered by Featured Images. Each photo in the slideshow will be a whopping 950 pixels by 425 pixels. That’s huge! To get it working, first click Yes! I’d like to enable the optional home page slideshow in Appearance → Theme Options from your dashboard and click Save Options. Next make sure some of your recent posts use really large Featured Images–at least 950 pixels by 425 pixels
You may also want to check out the support page for Featured Images.
