Removing header text

    Hi, I have searched, but nothing seems to answer this question, suprisingly! I didn’t know about some themes having custom headers when I chose mine (updown waves) I chose the theme for the body layout, not the header, which I altered in photoshop prior to uploading. To keep it search engine friendly, I don’t want to delete the header text/title from my options page, but want to ‘hide it’. Since I don’t have the ‘hide header text’ option for this theme, I have tried everything i have found on google, such as putting in indentations to move it, and writing in display:none both in this section of the stylesheet (before the word ‘font’ in each line,
    h1 {font: normal 1.8em Tahoma,sans-serif;}
    h2 {font: normal 1.6em sans-serif;}
    h3 {font: bold 1em Tahoma,sans-serif;},

    and when that didn’t work, in each section as follows:
    header .title {
    color: #FFF;
    padding-top: 25px;
    padding-left: 50px;

    which also didn’t work. I also tried adding it to the header page directly…no luck.

    I have wasted hours and hours on this, is there a simple solution? Any help would be so gratefully received!

    Are you hosted at WordPress.com, or independently hosted? We don’t have a theme called “Updown waves” which is why I ask.

    If you’re not on WP.com, we won’t be able to help you, as our software works quite differently.

    Ok, excuse my confusion….it’s all a bit double dutch to me. I’m hosted through siteground. I didn’t realise the software was different!
