Removing Home from first page but having it present in the menu
-
I want to remove the title home from my front page but have it as a link in the menu. I have searched in the support page but maybe i am not explaining it properly. In the first page, i have named it Home. when i go into that page I see the word Home which i dont want. But I would like to have it in the menu on the top so people can click on it to go back to the main first page. I am having trouble finding how to do this and so would like your help. I have tried removing it as a Page title name but when i do this the menu and page widget just have a blank. I am sure it is really easy to do but i just cant seem to be able to do it!!
Many thanks

Hi there!
I’m happy to help, but can you clarify which site you need help with? Once I have that information, I’ll be better able to help.
Thanks!

Hi,
thanks for replying. the site i am having this issue with is dubbadeena.wordpress.com.
I actually spent a few hrs and did find the answer on how to fix it but now my page widget “where do you want to go?” now just has a bullet point where the Home used to be and i cant seem to get rid of it.Any suggestions you can help me with would be great.

You *almost* got it!
In the Pages widget, you need to exclude a Page ID, not the page title. For your site, your “Home” page is Page ID 136 – so you need to enter “136” into the field on the “Pages: Where would you like to go?” widget.
I hope that helps! Let me know if you still have problems.
