removing home tab

  I want to remove the ‘home’ tab from my blog. I have deleted it at the back end, as far as I can tell, yet it still shows. Since there is only an error message on it, not an edit button, and since I can’t see it at the back end, I don’t see how I can remove it.

  The reason you’re seeing an error message on your home page is because you haven’t published any posts yet. By default, your home page is your posts page. You can change this by following this guide:
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/front-page

  To remove the “home” link from your navigation bar, you’ll want to create a custom menu:
