Removing Leave a Comment from Pages

  I’m wondering if it’s possible to remove the Leave a comment area from individual Pages.
  I don’t mind them on the posts but i don’t want people to be able to leave comments on pages like Contact, About etc…

  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  You can set this on any “write post” or on any “write page”. Look to the right of the editor box and you will see blue buttons. The top button in the list is “Discussion +” click on the + plus sign and a downdown opens. Un-check “allow comments”.

  wow that was so easy it was stupid ;-) I totally overlooked that. Thaks for your help.

  Here are a couple more stupid questions if you can bear with me.

  Now that i have that removed from the pages is it possible to remove this info under my text on those pages

  Another problem i’m having is even though i set the order for the pages when i created them they are showing up in my navigation bar in Alpha order any idea how i can change that? I’d like to be able to control the order the links are showing up.

  Well now I clicked the link and looked at your site. As far as I can tell it isn’t a wordpress.com site. So OOPS! You seem to be in the wrong place. WordPress.com is a MU (multi-user) blogging platform. We run on a different code base than the version you can download from http://wordpress.org and you will get different answers to your questions here. The forum for self hosted and web hosted wordpress blogs is located over here http://wordpress.org/support You may want to take a few moments and read this description about the different versions of WordPress software posted in a pink “read me first” sticky at the head of this forum.   But it’s not a wordpress.com site. There’s a difference since it’s different software that you are running and we run here. The question that you ask would require a different answer since you have to modify your theme which is not something we can do here.
