Removing lines through image links

  Hello

  I’m working off of HTML in a widget text box for a sidebar.

  The blog I need help with is http://www.aforgeofphoenix.com/blog There you can see there are lines through the graphic link social media images. How do I get rid of the lines?

  I did some poking around and it seems the link itself might be the culprit because when I remove this the line goes away.

  Could I have some spacing wrong somewhere?

  I tried Googling, but a possible fix is in CSS. Can you mix CSS and HTML? I knew basic coding but that was like ten years ago. Thank you for any suggestions.
