removing links

  Is it possible to remove the link from a commentor’s name? Or, have that link open in a new window so the viewer isn’t taken away from my blog to another blog completely?

  You can edit the comment and remove the URL they typed in when they commented but I am unaware of any way to have it open in a new window. That would likely require editing the theme files which we cannot do.
