Removing links at bottom of site

  do I have to pay to remove the links at the bottom of the site? I don’t mind giving credit to wordpress or the the theme author, but don’t want links. Our site is a school site and I would hate for a student or parent to link to a place where the developer of a theme used profanity or vulgar images. Any help on this would be super. Thanks.

  Hi mr- I got rid of the links last night. Go to Appearance > Extras and check 2nd box requesting link removal (with warning that other sites can’t send traffic). Immediate & painless remedy. Hope that helps.

  Thanks happypenguin…I have that issue taken care of, but I was talking about the theme author at the bottom of any page.
