removing listings on the side of my pages
-
I have no installed Widgets, yet there is a listing on the right side of my pages called Meta. I would like to remove the Meta listing, and other entities, (e.g. Activities, Blogrolls),which I did not put there and do not need nor want to confuse my viewers with. How do I remove these listings from the right side as I cannot find anywhere to do this on my Dashboard.
Thank you,The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Yes lorawow – here is my link to the front page.: http://applevalleylakecumberland.wordpress.com/
All the other pages have the same thing.
Thank you so much for looking at it for me. -
When you first start out, and before adding any widgets, there is a sample widget display in the sidebar so that you know what it would look like with widgets. Once you add any widget to the sidebar, then the sample widget display goes away.
If you want nothing to show in the sidebar, simply insert a blank text widget into the sidebar. The grey area at the right will then be blank – which will look sort of weird.

Pardon me for continuing to ask about this problem but I just don’t understand. I am listed as having ‘0’ Widgets installed. I do not wish to wipe out everything on the right side – and so I do not know what putting in a blank widget would do. Just by putting in a blank widget could it take everything off the right side including my pages? You said that the grey area at the right will then be blank. Would it be useful if I just edited the CSS. However, I am not very good at doing this kind of thing, and do not know if I can even delete the correct entries. Perhaps I should just find another Theme that does not have those listings of which I do not want.
Thank you for your patience. -
In any widget-aware theme, if you add any widget to your sidebar, the default set of widgets will disappear. If you want to add any of the default/sample widgets (pages, archives, categories, blogroll, or meta widgets) back into the sidebar, all you have to do is drag it/them to the sidebar.
Note that your kubrick theme does not display widgets in the sidebar when you are reading a single post. You can see widgets in pages, and on your home page, though.
