removing meta box

Hi,
is it possible to remove the meta box, categories box and archives box here http://weirdhypnosisdownloads.wordpress.com/. Could I also use a plugin for social networking buttons if I use wordpress hosting?

What you are seeing in the sidebar is the default sample display of widgets that is produced by the theme. Go to appearance > widgets and add in the widgets that you want and the default sample set will disappear.
You can put sharing buttons at the bottom of each post and page using the sharing feature here.
There is also the facebook like widget that you can put into the sidebar.
For links to your social media pages, you can put images into image widgets in the sidebar and link them to your social media pages.
You can also style up your own and put them into a text widget and link them to your social media pages.

Hi sacredpath,
I seem to have removed the widgets by adding the ‘facebook like box’, but when viewing the page it doesn’t appear, also the ‘like box’ has asked for a title and url?. I’m scouring everywhere for answers,education,advice, any insights or tips welcome. Ideally I want to add a facebook like button, twitter and digg on the sidebar, I don’t know if this is possible.

It needs the URL of your Facebook Fan Page in order to work. Did you enter it?
