Removing metadata tags

  I would like to turn off the metadata tags from my blog (“posted by _________ on __________” and “Posted in Uncategorized | Leave a comment”). I have been told there is a way to keep these from displaying but have had no luck finding a plug in. Is there another way to do this? By the way, my blog is linked to a domain name and is hosted by Media Temple, if that matters.

  Yes it matters, because it means that you have a self-hosted WordPress blog and are unfortunately in the wrong forum. Please ask your question at http://wordpress.org/support
