How do you I remove “My WordPress Blog” from the site title? I have looked at my general settings title and tags, but “My WordPress Blog” does not appear there.

If “My WordPress Blog” persists after you have cleared the Site Title and Tagline in your global settings, the text is likely cached in your browser or embedded within the Site Title block inside the Site Editor. In modern block-based themes, the text you see in the header can act independently of the “General Settings” menu; you must navigate to Appearance → Editor, click directly on the header area, and manually select the Site Title block to delete or overwrite the placeholder text. Furthermore, if you are seeing this title in search results or browser tabs, it may be stored as Alt Text on your Site Logo or within an SEO plugin like Yoast, which requires a separate update to the “Search Appearance” metadata to fully purge the default phrase from the site’s identity.
