Removing myself as Administrator?
-
I am unable to remove myself as the admin from this blog. I do not manage it nor is the owner a client any longer. Contacting them is not an option. How does someone remove themselves from a blog? I cannot seem to find the ‘my blogs’ page to follow the instructions to remove myself (https://wordpress.com/support/my-blogs/#leave-a-blog).
Also, why isn’t there a more obvious way to remove yourself from someone else’s blog/website? Do you really have to contact support to remove yourself every time? Can someone please help me? Thank you.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Ok … I found another support ticket that referenced this link: https://dashboard.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=my-blogs&msg=left&target=137730633
And was able to remove myself from the blog in question. For anyone else that gets stuck or lost, here’s how to find it:- Login
- Click your avatar/username in upper right hand corner
- Click on manage blogs

We can only help with sites running on the wordpress.com platform. So first things first: what is the URL of the site you are talking about?

Thank you @staartmees – it is a wordpress.com site and I did find it. Apparently I’m super tired and totally missed the ‘here’s how to find it part of the instructions’. Silly me! But I’m all set now, and added a response on how to find it in case someone else misreads the instructions as well. Thank you for taking the time to reply/try to help me!

Just a heads up that the link the Original Poster provided (ending in target=137730633) may be specific to their use and won’t help other users trying to remove themselves from a different WordPress.com website owned by a different user.
However, the full support guide at https://wordpress.com/support/my-blogs/ explains how to access My Blogs and how to leave another person’s WordPress.com website.
Cheers!
