removing note about comments and author at top of posts
-
I would like to know if there is a way to hide two items in the top left of my posts so that only the date will appear. I do not want to disable the comments. I only do not want “leave a comment” or the author to appear there. Is that possible? example… http://serealities.com/2015/09/25/earth-bound-by-j-zakour-and-vanelle-leblanc-2/
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there, and you bet we can hide those with the following CSS.
.entry-meta .comments-link, .entry-meta .byline { display: none; } -
Thanks so much!! Do you think I can remove the author too? Where it says “by Serealities”

Hi again,
I just noticed that the author does not show up on my laptop but it still shows up on my phone. Is there anything I can do about that? Thanks!! -
That’s weird. They’ve done some tricky bits in the CSS. Add the !important attribute after the “none” so it looks like this.
.entry-meta .comments-link, .entry-meta .byline { display: none !important; } -

Oh, we can keep the comments if you would like. Change it to this instead.
.entry-meta .byline { display: none !important; }This will bring back the comments on wider screens though, so you will have the date and the X Comments link to the left of the content.

now it shows on the website but not on the phone :)
It’s ok. I don’t know that it’s so important at this point.
You’re amazing as always!
Many thanks! -
