Removing one sidebar from posts only

  I am using MH magazine pro theme with a double sidebar for the homepage. I would like to keep sidebar2 and remove sidebar1 from posts only, so it widens the content area of the post, I also want to widen the featured image and make sure it is in proper alignment
  I don’t want this to effect any other pages, only on single posts and I would like it to be site wide.
  I have tried changing the singile php but it didnt work. I couldnt find anything in the style sheet either
  I have attached an example of a single post as it sits right now… looking terrible
  Any help would be hugely appreciated!
