Removing own domain

  Hello,

  I have my own domain name for hockeynarrative.com. I did not buy the domain through wordpress.com although I use the domain forwarding service at wordpress.com.

  So, if a person wants to move their own domain elsewhere, is it a matter of just changing the DNS records (at registrar/host) and updating the primary domain at wordpress.com (to the blogname.wordpress.com structure)?

  Or do you have to notify wordpress.com first? Also, please advise of any other necessary steps.

  Any feedback would be appreciated.

  You don’t need to notify WordPress. Just change the settings on you dashboard and away you go.
