Removing P2 Header and CSS Customization

http://shimworld.wordpress.com/
I searched for more information regarding the P2 theme and didn’t see much. I just switched from The Journalist to P2 and I like it very much. I wonder if it’s possible to remove the rather detached looking header with a script?
Also, the spacing between widgets seems wider than it needs to be ie between Blog Stats | Pages | Recent Post etc .. can this be changed ?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Do you want the title and box completely gone (ie the body of the blog is flush against the top of the browser window and no blog title at all)?

I looked at the original CSS codes and managed to figure out how to completely remove the header box through
h1 {
font-size:4em;
line-height:1em;
display:none;
padding:8px 16px;
}Unfortunately doing so also remove the “home” button for the blog but I can easily add a widget to do the same. Next on my mind is which set of codes control the spaces between the widgets. I want to reduce the spaces between then.

Play with the 24px number in the below. The first number in the string is top, the center number is right/left and the last number is bottom.
#sidebar ul li { padding:4px 0 24px; } -

Change 24 to 4 and see what difference it makes. I saw a difference when you went from 24 to 20.

Ah yes I see it. Many thanks!
The only thing that I’ve found annoying so far is that when you Edit a post right from the main page there are no formatting tools (I know, it’s Twitter-inspired). In order to format the text I have to edit via within the Dashboard.
