Removing page title/headline in Pilcrow theme

    I have a lightly modified Pilcrow theme on my website that I am using to track the progress of my new book. With the way I have my theme set up, it’s a bit redundant to have the page title right under the blog title, when there is the navigation bar up top.

    I’ve fiddled with the theme’s “loop-page.php” and “loop.php,” but I can’t seem to get rid of it. The best I can find is a php function in “loop-page.php” that looks like this:

    <?php if ( is_front_page() ) { ?>
    <h2 class="entry-title"><?php the_title(); ?></h2>
    <?php } else { ?>
    <h1 class="entry-title"><?php the_title(); ?></h1>
    <?php } ?>

    From what I’m looking at, that looks like the right thing to delete but modifying, deleting or editing that does nothing to the page’s headline.

    Any suggestions?
