Removing picture of me from teachers blog.

  Hi All,

  Wondering if anyone can help me with this.

  My old media studies teacher has a page on here from when I was doing my a levels and it contains a photo of me which I do not want listed as it is readily available when searching my name in Google, I was made aware of this by a previous employer who showed me that he had found it on Google images. Nothing terrible just me with a couple of friends but something I don’t want to be public.

  I would be happy even if the page was privatised rather than deleted, as long as it doesn’t appear in Google searches but any attempts to make contact with my old teacher through here have been unsuccessful. He has since moved schools and so I have no point of contact. Who can I contact at WordPress to plead my case to get this resolved and removed?

  Any help would be appreciated.

  We cannot help you with this. Only the person with the wordpress.COM username account that registered the wordpress.COM hosted site can delete the image from the site.

  I looked everywhere for WordPress support to deal with this but it pointed me here. So you’re saying that WordPress doesn’t have a department that can deal with issues like this? If not it’ll have to be legal action as I’m not going to allow a site to host an image of me without my permission.

  We do have Account Recovery Staff however you say did not register the site which you failed to provide the URL of.

  Support Staff cannot breach the privacy policy and provide the log-in information. To gain access one has to provide proof ownership to Account Recovery Staff https://en.support.wordpress.com/account-recovery/
