Removing portfolio items from Home page on Portfolio theme

  Hello,

  I would like a static page on my Home Page but within the portfolio theme it uploads most recent portfolio pages on there automatically. Is there any way of stopping this?

  Hi there,

  You can set a static page for the front (home) page under Settings > Reading in your dashboard. We have detailed instructions for setting up a static front page here: Front Page

  I see that you have selected “Front page displays a static page” in your settings, but you have not selected a Front page from the drop down menu there. To use a static front page, you will need to create a page to use as your front page under Pages > Add New, and then select that page from the drop down menu on your Reading settings page. The content you put in that page will be displayed on the front page of your site.

  Hiya,

  Thanks for your help – I have set my homepage as a static page but the portfolio items still appear at the bottom of the page. Any ideas how to remove these?

  For your static page to appear properly on your home page, you will need to give the page a title (such as “Home”). Then, make sure that page title is selected in the drop down next to “Front Page:” on your Reading Settings page. Let me know if you would like additional help with this!
