Last things first. The “edit this entry” link only shows up for you, and only when you are logged in to wordpress.
Also, you really shouldn’t buy the CSS upgrade if you know nothing about it. There is no official support and only a couple people here with much knowledge of it and they come around randomly only.
Give this a try, but you need to check all the pages and such after making this change since I did not look to see what else might disappear with this change. On the older themes, designers had a tendency to group things together and sometimes removing one thing actually removes a lot more. Delete everything in the CSS editor window and then add this to it.
.title small {display:none; } -
Thank you that was helpful.
It took the posted by, date and time info off the pages, but not the posted categories.
Any ideas on how I can remove them? Thanks again

Are you talking about the categories listed at the very bottom of post pages such as here http://bloomdahlengineering.com/2010/09/20/project-management/ ?
With this theme, you can get rid of the list, but cannot get rid of the “categories” title and blue bar since those are controlled by the exact same selector as the post and page titles. Removing one removes all. The following gets rid of the list.
.catlist {display:none; }

Sorry I wasn’t very clear.
I was asking about removing the “Posted by: dbloomdahl on 2010”
that appears in every category description.I have my categories posted as widgets.
Thank you for your help.

You are talking about the categories pages such as this http://bloomdahlengineering.com/category/chemical-engineering-services-experience/ ?
There is no class or ID associated with those in the CSS, which means that there is no way to remove “Posted by: dbloomdahl on 2010”. That is one of the problems with older themes such as Ocean Mist.

You’re welcome and sorry I couldn’t make it disappear for you. Ocean Mist has some real limitation as far as the CSS goes.

Q from a newbie – do I need to pay/buy CSS upgrade to be able to hide/remove posts’ date and time and/or to do other CSS changes?
Or is there another way to do so similar to HTML Layout editing at blogger/blogspot ?
Asking coz I came from blogger/blogspot where it is free.
Thx
