Removing Right margin and making posts larger
-
Hey there,
I have found a lot of posts in regards to removing the left or right margins… and the css codes have worked for that very well! What I can’t figure out, and am not sure if it is possible, is if the posts below the static slider can be moved over, or extended or centred, so it doesn’t look like theres just a weird blank spot to the right?
Any answers would be appreciated greatly!

Are you talking about getting rid of the right sidebar?
The problem is on the them on jetlagmanifesto is that you can widen the content area on the main page, but the featured images for the posts (recent posts) will remain the size they are. That size is set in the theme PHP script files and we cannot edit those. The fact that it is a responsive width theme also makes things difficult since any hard “width” declaration kills and blows up the responsive width. It can be very tricky.

Not necessarily a no, just a “its complicated” sort of thing (well except for the featured images, which are a “no”.

You could stretch the featured images, but they’ll likely end up looking pixelated—it’s a tradeoff that you *might* be willing to take. Here is an example so you can experiment:
#tertiary { display: none; } #content { width: 750px; } .featured-image img { width: 100%; }thesacredpath’s warning is a good one, only make the change if the pixelation in the images is acceptable to you.
