Removing search box & home tab along the top

    Hello,

    I know that I can remove the search box and the page tab along the top of my blog with this simple change to the CSS:

    .current_page_item {
    display:none;

    But according to WordPress I have to pay a $15 annual free. That seems kind of crazy for such a small change. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

    (P.S. I don’t need the home tab because I’m using the blog as part of a portfolio website. So I wont be adding other pages, and it isn’t really home…)

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Switch to another theme.

    Looks like I’ll have to try that. It was just hard to find on with a simple calm style and serif type…

    Thank you.

    Simple and calm, and no Homepage tab, and no search box and serif fonts? I’m afraid that only leaves you with Simpla (or maybe Jentri or Quentin).

    I changed it to Kubrick, which let me hide the blog title and I was able to put my own title directly on the image. Thank you for your help!

    You’re welcome. But you had said serif type font – Kubrick is sans serif.

    Also note that there are several themes in which you can upload a custom header image and hide the blog title (seventeen, to be precise).
