Removing secondary menu naviagtion on Acamdeica theme

I am working on a school assignment and am taskd with removing the secondary navigation menu on the pages in the acamedica theme I need the top menu but not the one that appears on the top of each page

Custom Menus
Academica supports two custom menu http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/ locations, one in the header and one in the footer. The header menu serves as the primary navigation and falls back to display your pages if no custom menu is set for this location. The footer menu is ideal for displaying a secondary navigation, since it only supports one menu level. -
