Removing side bar in Chunk Theme – I also need help :)
-
Hi,
I’m totally new to wordpress and CSS, and I have exactly the same question imrhummer has on her post.
Unfortunately the solution was not shared at the end. Can you please help me understanding how to achieve the same goal. Only the Blog section should display everything on the side bar, but the rest of sections in the menu are all static pages where I want to disable that side bar.
I can see Imrhummer did finally a great job finding the solution for her blog.
Please help :)The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Looks like I found the solution, partially… Adding the following in CSS Stylesheet Editor and selection “Add my CSS to Chunk’s CSS stylesheet”
.page .entry-meta .comments {
margin-top: 2px;
}This removes the “leave a comment” only from the pages and not from the blog section. Whis is exactly what I wanted.
Now the question is how to remove the “Leave a reply” only from the pages and not from the blog section????
The following allows me to get rid of “Leave a reply” everywhere:
div#respond {
display:none;
}Also this:
#comments {
display:none;
}But I’m looking for something that allows me to keep in in the blog and remove it from static pages only.
Any help will be much appreciated :)

If you mean removing the whole reply field, you don’t need CSS editing for that: you just edit the pages and disable commenting. Go to Pages > All Pages, tick the little square to select all the pages, select Edit from the Bulk Actions pulldown, click Apply, select Do Not Allow from the Comments pulldown, click Update.

You’re welcome.
(For the record, my reply doesn’t mean that what you were looking for isn’t possible via CSS editing.)
