Questions for self hosted sites have to be asked on the WordPress.org forum. The blogs here at WordPress.com run under a different software. http://wordpress.org/support/

I think you can if you purchase the CSS upgrade. Or choose a template that doesn’t have one. But by looking at the site on the link you provided, it’s a WordPress.org website.
-
I have the CSS upgrade.. I was just using that blog as an example of what I wanted to do.

jakehh,
There are themes on wordpress.com that do not have sidebars.
With the CSS Upgrade it is possible to make the sidebar not display or disappear, but depending on the theme it may take some serious CSS coding to achieve that.
-
The blog you are referring to is using the K2 theme, which is what you are using as well. However, how to get from your blog to that blog is 100% up to your CSS skills.
-
Well, I’m currently using the K2-lite theme which I enjoy because of the decent sized header and stuff.
With that theme, will it take “serious CSS coding?”
-
jakehh,
Dunno how serious. If you’re not using it already, I recommend using Firefox as your browser, with the Firebug add-on, which allows you to inspect the CSS and HTML on any site. You can even change it ‘live’ and see the results, so you know which parts to change or not in order to achieve whatever you are looking for.

I shall check out this Firebug thing now actually. I think it’ll come in handy for future things too.
Thanks :)
