Removing sidebar from 'posts' page
-
I only want the sidebar visible on my home page, I have removed it from all other pages by changing the page attributes template to ‘one column – no sidebar’. However I have done exactly the same procedure to my posts page (named ‘News’) but the sidebar still appears?
How can I remove it from this page? Also, clicking on an individual post opens it in a new page. How can I remove the sidebar from this page (as it doesn’t appear in my ‘Pages’ section of the dashboard I can’t attempt to change the page attributes)? Please help, many thanks.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I’m afraid that to remove it from that page would take the CSS upgrade and some CSS experience. Once you set a page as a “posts” page at settings > reading, the no-sidebar page template no longer applies.

Actually, I’m not seeing a sidebar on the “news” page, nor am I seeing a sidebar on the single post pages. That is of course if you are talking about this site: http://jezmorris.com/ .

No, I am talking about my other site – uxbridgerovers.wordpress.com.
I believe the theme I have used for jezmorris.com (modularity lite) doesn’t support a sidebar?
If It does, how come It doesn’t appear on this site but does on uxbridgerovers?

My first post still applies. The “blog” page does not adhere to the “no sidebar” page template once you assign it as the posts page at settings > reading.
It will take the CSS upgrade to make it disappear. Here would be the CSS needed. You would of course have to have the CSS upgrade.
.blog #content-container { width: 100%; } .blog #sidebar { display: none; } -
