Removing Sidebar Text Widget and the Search box

    Hello,
    Every default page and every new page that I create has a default Search box and a SIDEBAR TEXT WIDGET on the right side of the page that I don’t seem to be able to get rid of. How can I delete those as well as the Search option in the top right corner of the page?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • If you have the Custom Design option (included with any of WordPress.com’s paid plans), you can add this CSS to remove the search icon from your site:

    .header-search {
         display: none;
    }

    I’m not seeing any sidebar text widgets on your site, did you resolve this issue already?

    Yes, thank you. I managed to remove the sidebar text widget, but because we have just a free blog at this stage, I probably won’t be able to any CSS modifications.
