Removing sidebars from contempt theme

A right side bar has appeared on each of my web pages which I did not put on. I have the contempt theme and it was not there before. Is this a change in the theme that happened recently? Who would have applied the change to my page other than myself? I have tried to remove the widgets that are in the side bar but have been unsuccessful. When I am in the appearance tab it says that the side bar is empty. There are not widgets listed. I have tried to delete the widgets, move them to the inactive widgets but nothing is working.Removing side bars

Ah, I see now. And I remember this from another post too. What happened is that your Custom Design upgrade had expired and you just needed to renew it to reinstate the CSS that had been added in the past.
