Removing site from google search results

  Hi there,

  This site is no longer in use by our company and I need it deleted from google search results. How do I close the site in a manner that ensures it is completely removed?

  Hi there,

  Your site (http://tectonictheaterproject.wordpress.com/) is private, and this prevents people from viewing it. However, you’re correct in saying it is still indexed by Google. Although this is out of the control of WordPress.com, Google does try to stop indexing private sites.

  I’ve submitted a request via their website to stop indexing your website (and the other eight pages/posts it indexes), and you can do so as well by following this guide: https://support.google.com/websearch/answer/6349986?hl=en
