Removing site from new account
-
Just created a new account with my work email, but for some reason it added a personal website to this account. Possibly the browser might have logged me in. I need to remove my personal site from the work account. Didn’t know if I could delete it? It doesn’t seem right that a free account suddenly gets access to my paid personal website and has the ability to delete it? I’m confused

Hi there!
Can you let us know what the URL is of the site where you’re having this problem? Once we have that information, we’ll be better able to advise.
Thank you!

Hi there,
You can disconnect that site from your WordPress.com account by following these instructions:
https://wordpress.com/support/disconnect-jetpack-sites/
If you cannot disconnect it let us know and we’ll do it for you.

Hi,
Unable to disconnect. Under Jetpack all I get is Activity log, backup, and search. There’s no dashboard or “Manage your connection” link

Hi there,
According to our records you do not have two different accounts with us (each under a unique email address) but instead you have updated the settings on your @wustlcme account to change the listed email address it is under. So at one time it was under kyoung.symmetry but that was updated to your new email address.
It sounds like what you would like to do is create a second account for youngfamilygroup.com to separate it from your wustlcme yes?
If so, here is what I would like you to do:
- Sign out of your @wustlcme account here on the left: https://wordpress.com/me/account/
- Then log in to your youngfamilygroup.com site and deactivate the jetpack plugin
- Once it is deactivated, reactivate it again. This will allow you to make a new connection
- When following the steps to connect Jetpack, because you first signed out as @wustlcme you will instead be asked to create a new account, which you can use your other email address for
Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have any more questions.
