removing skmlinks
-
a guest blogger has noticed a skimlinks connection ona link in her artilce and wants it removed. Can you advise please and also if and how I can remove this plugin from nboldblog?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Do you also encounter this issue?
It sounds like the guest blogger may have either a toolbar or malware installed on their computer. If they change browsers or machines, do they still see these links?
Otherwise ask them to disable their browser extensions at: http://en.kioskea.net/faq/2528-how-to-disable-add-ons-extensions-in-your-browser
Let me know how that goes.

Hi- thanks for your reply. Sorry not to have come back sooner, but I’ve been waiting on a response from the guest blogger. She says: ‘I’ve had a read of the response from the WordPress platform and double checked my laptop and browsers and haven’t found a problem. I’ve looked on a friend’s machine too. In any case, I can see the redirect on the code embedded on your site, which wouldn’t be the case if the issue was a redirect coming from my browser.’
Can you advise me further about what to do please?

If possible, send me a screenshot, so I can better understand the issue. You can ask her to send you a screenshot so you can upload it to your Media Library, like any other image, and I’ll be able to access it from there.
The page at the following link has some helpful tips for taking screenshots:

Hi- I’ve put a screenshot in my media library- audaxdesignscreenshot.png as requested. Hope you can help.

Are they perhaps running any browser extensions? It’s highly possible that an extensions is adding this to the site: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/groups/disabling-browser-add-ons-plug-ins-extensions-sln3016.html?impressions=true

Hi- the only extensions on my Firefox are Adblock plus, Pinit button and SaveFrom.net helper. Are you asking if the guest blogger has a possible extension that’s adding it, or is it just my site?
-
It’s possibly an browser extension adding it. Please ask them to disable the browser extension using the instructions in my previous reply and let me know if that helps.
