Removing "Sorry, comment form is closed" alert?

  Hi,

  I’m making more of a site, not a blog, so I don’t want comments. I’ve already removed comments from pages, but now the “Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time” is showing up at the bottom! Is there any way to edit this out in CSS?

  Additionally, I’m not sure where those color blocks on the left side of the site would be found in CSS. I’d love to change the color. I’m hoping I don’t need to be on wordpress.org for these things…

  Yes, add this to the bottom of any custom CSS you have.
