removing space between menu/tabs and text

  hi, I’m really getting frustrated. There is a big space between the menu and the text, see here: http://namihighcountry.wordpress.com/
  i have read a lot of forums and it looks like you have to do something in css which I believe means you have to upgrade, which I don’t want to do. is there ANY way to get rid of this space? thanks in advance!

  I see that same “space” on the detailed theme description here http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/truly-minimal/
  I also see it on the live demo site here http://trulyminimaldemo.wordpress.com/
