Removing Stock Image

After I created my blog, an image appeared in the design, and now I cannot get rid of it. The image showed up in the Featured Image list, but removing it from there did not remove it from the blog. The imag

I tried changing the theme. The image still shows.
I looked at individual blog posts, but the image is not part of any of them.
I tried creating a new primary menu. The image still shows.
When I use the customizer to turn off “Featured Images” in all of blogs+posts+pages, my own featured image does not show, but this persistent image still shows up.

BTW, the image has an overlay text that says “Welcome to my new Economics blog” — Economics is the category I chose for the blog.

Yet more information: the image seems to be part of a cover block. The image is in a div tag entitled “wp-block-cover.” I still cannot find this particular block, so that I can remove it. There are no blocks on the blog posts, that I can find.

The image and the text are added by the cover block on your homepage, which is the page titled “Real Life Plutocracy”.
To remove the block, edit the “Real Life Plutocracy” page remove the block with these steps: https://en.support.wordpress.com/wordpress-editor/#removing-a-block
