Removing suggested videos from end of embedded youtube video

  It is making me crazy that I cannot stop suggested videos from showing at the end of an embed. YouTube has changed the sharing options, and adding ?rel=0 is no longer being respected in the code. What can I do??!!! Many thanks.

  One of the easy way to add embedded youtube video is
  to use YouTube embedded code generator.

  Youtube Generator Code Generator

  Visit above link
  Add the YouTube Link , Size, Autoplay etc.
  All the option are self explanatory over there,
  Just Click in generate and it will generate code

  Thanks for the suggestion. It’s a straightforward process and I had no trouble following it. However, it does nothing to solve the issue of suggested videos at the end. It is the same if I check the bo or uncheck the box! Any ideas why this might be happening? Thanks much!

  Hi there,

  Its not a wordpress.com problem.

  Youtube has made some changes on Aug 23 2018 for related videos in embedded code.
  What it says is

  The behavior for the rel parameter is changing on or after September 25, 2018. The effect of the change is that you will not be able to disable related videos. However, you will have the option of specifying that the related videos shown in the player should be from the same channel as the video that was just played.

  To be more specific:
  Prior to the change, if the parameter’s value is set to 0, then the player does not show related videos.
  After the change, if the rel parameter is set to 0, the player will show related videos that are from the same channel as the video that was just played.

  Thank you so much for digging up that information! Very disappointing that they have made this change, but at least now I will know how to achieve the best I can do for my readers. I’ll work my way through it and see what I can do.
