Removing Tags From Posts

Hello! I have noticed that at the top of each of my individual blog posts both my categories and tags are showing up. So when a reader clicks on my blog article the first thing they see are all my tags for that post, like: Pregnancy, Nausea, Missed Period, etc., before they even begin to read my post. It just looks kind of cheesy to me as most websites do not have the tags shown at the top, but would just start with the actual written content. I have tried switching themes with no luck to correct this. Is there any way to keep them from showing without actually deleting the tags under the Post Settings for each post? I appreciate your time on answering this question and hope I am being clear enough. Thank you!

  • Hi there,

    Are you speaking of https://mommaunderconstruction.wordpress.com/?

Whether or not categories and tags are displayed, and where they appear, is determined by the theme. The Stow theme you’re using on that site displays those at the top of the post, and doesn’t offer an option to hide them, so the only way to hide them in this case would be by using custom CSS code. Custom CSS requires our Premium Plan or higher.
