Removing Temporary Sidebar Possible?

I was thinking of purchasing the premium theme “watson” but the only thing I’m not sure I like is the Sidebar on the posts pages. This is what it says –
    Temporary sidebar

Start adding your own Widgets to the sidebar by going to the Appearance → Widgets screen on your admin dashboard. This sidebar cannot be toggled off or removed.

Just want to check if that sidebar really can’t be removed with CSS before I make the purchase? Thank you

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • It’s definitely possible to hide the placeholder sidebar in Watson with custom CSS. While the theme wasn’t designed not to have a sidebar (which is why it shows that message) you can still hide it and widen the main column with custom CSS.

If you need help with the specific CSS after purchase, feel free to the CSS Customization forum and we’ll be glad to assist.

OK Thank you. Another question if I may continue on this thread. I have the “Sela” Theme currently and used to be able to “Try” Custom CSS by clicking “Customize” but the Try CSS Editor option seems to have disappeared and I cannot figure out where it is. I thought it had something to do with the plugins. I snipped a picture of what I see in the Customizer and linked it below:

    Thanks

  • The Custom Design preview mode is no longer available. If you want to preview custom CSS, you may use a browser inspector instead.

Oh okay. I did not realize that was a change. It just seed to disappear out of the blue! Thank you for making me aware.

  • Yes, it was removed only quite recently, so you didn’t imagine it!
