Removing the author from post on Button theme

  I am very new to this and am wanting to hide the author as it is part of my personal email. How do I do this?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi, you can go to Users > My Profile and change the “Display name publicly as” to something different, such as your first name.

  If you do not wish to have the author name displayed at all, go to Appearance > Customize > CSS, delete all the informational text in that window, and paste in the following custom CSS.

  .entry-meta .byline {
      display: none;
  }

  I have no experience with any of this and had some problems copying and pasting it from above. I just took a guess on spacing and typed it out and it worked! Is there a trick to being able to copy and paste for any future things I do? Thank you so much for your help!

  Awesome you have gotten it added. Generally, it is only a matter of highlighting the code here in the forum and then copying it and pasting it into your custom CSS. Make sure you are on a new line when you do, and I generally suggest pasting it at the bottom, below any other CSS you might have.

  That’s what I did but when I would right click in my CSS area it wouldn’t display any options at all. Oh well, thanks again!

  Hmmm, that’s weird. I just checked in the customizer in Firefox, Safari and Chrome on my Mac, and in all three I can right click and I see “Paste” on the menu.

  You can try copying from the forum and then in the customizer, put the cursor in the CSS area and use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl-V and see it that works.

  This worked for me, too. Is there a way to get rid of the categories and tags listed in that area, as well?
