Removing the black default WordPress top navigation bar. Possible?

  Is it possible to remove the black default WordPress top navigation bar, or do I have to upgrade to premium? Thanks!

  you can not remove the top nav bar – that will get your blog suspended – also that is MY nav bar and I like it

  This is not true. CNN, Forbes, Ebay, Sony all use wordpress.com and don’t have the top NAV. So I’m assuming you must pay for a premium package, anyone?

  when I visit WordPress.COM VIP sites – the top nav bar is still there when I am logged in – you are in error – sorry

  If you visit a Powered by WordPress .ORG software site the top nav bar is not there since they use different software & hosts
