removing the comments option from the page

  im a new user to wp and a first time css user – I thought id figured this out, by clicking on the element on the page and then deleting it using the edit using html option. That changes the page to be how i want it,but then i cant save the change when i move off the page.

  getting very tired of this now and have gone blank :) all help appreciated
