I can find where the date can be edited, but I would like to completely remove it or make it small and at the bottom of the post. Where can I make this edit, or do I have to upgrade my account to start making these type of customization changes?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The easiest way to do this is to find a theme that hides the dates. I’d suggest the GoodzMagazine Theme. the demo to try it out is here.

    I hope that helps.

Every post has the date embedded into the URL and that cannot be changed. Aside from changing themes to one that does not display a publication date near the post titles there is no free way to address this. To remove the dates requires an annually renewable upgrade.

See here for details on purchasing the annually renewable Premium bundle http://store.wordpress.com/plans/premium/ that contains a custom design upgrade required for CSS editing: Custom design – Frequently Asked Questions

    http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/editing-css/
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/custom-fonts/

Note that once you have the required upgrade you can use this link https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/css-customization#postform so you can create a thread that will appear in the CSS Forum where you will get the help you need with CSS editing.

You can also post there prior to purchasing an upgrade to get an answer to whether or not what you want to do can be accomplished via CSS editing.

P.S. I forgot to say that there’s a free workaround for eliminating the datestamp that also works on the timestamp here http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2010/01/24/eliminatin-time-stamp/

I believe all themes here display the post date by default, if not on the front page, then in the post’s single view.

However, the US$99/year Premium bundle will allow you to edit a theme’s CSS to hide the post date from displaying. Regardless, it will not change the URL which includes the post date (pretty permalinks). Click on the “Learn More” link to learn about the Premium bundle upgrade: https://store.wordpress.com/plans/

Let us know if you have any questions on that.
