Removing the date in the URL.

I am working on a blog, and i notice that WordPress is putting the date in the url.
I like to work with clean url’s. Is there a way to avoid, remove this in further blogposts?yours sincerely,
Melvin
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

That cannot be removed in WordPress.COM. It can be removed (although it is not adviseable) in WordPress.ORG blogs.

I’m afraid not, as here at WordPress.com you can’t change the permalink structure for posts.
Only pages don’t have dates:

Isn’t it important for google to have a clean url with keywords for google then? I’m a marketing student and am willing to learn!

WordPress.com URLs are specially configured for google-friendliness. Shorter URLs are not better.
One of the tasks I spend two hours a day doing is linkblogging, and dates in the URL help not only search engines but also humans find the freshest information on your blog.
The worst is when a post looks something like whatever.com/p=1234
